AI for Viksit Bharat: Empowering Education, Driving Innovation, and Advancing Social Good

A seminar titled "AI for Viksit Bharat: Empowering Education, Driving Innovation, and Advancing Social Good" was successfully organized by the School of Computer Science & Information Technology, Mata Tripura Sundari Open University (MTSOU), Tripura. The seminar was held on Monday, 9th February 2026 at 11:30 A.M. in offline mode at the Conference Room, MTS Open University, Agartala City Office.

The seminar was conducted in alignment with the theme of AI Impact Summit – Bharat 2026 (India), aiming to highlight the role of Artificial Intelligence in national development, particularly in education, innovation, and social welfare.

The session was delivered by Ms. Rupa Jamatia, Assistant Professor, School of Computer Science & Information Technology, MTSOU, Tripura. In her insightful presentation, the speaker discussed the transformative potential of Artificial Intelligence in strengthening the education system, enhancing research and innovation capabilities, and addressing societal challenges. She emphasized how AI-driven tools can support inclusive learning, improve decision-making, and contribute towards achieving the vision of Viksit Bharat.

Inclusion and Social Empowerment with AI Innovations

The School of Computer Science & Information Technology, MTSOU successfully organized the seminar titled “Inclusion and Social Empowerment with AI Innovations” on 07 February 2026. The event witnessed active participation from faculty members, research scholars, students, and other interested participants.

The session commenced with an introductory address highlighting the relevance of AI in contemporary society and its growing influence across various social sectors. The speaker, Ms. Dipanwita Das, delivered an insightful and well-structured presentation focusing on how AI-driven innovations can be leveraged to bridge social gaps and promote inclusive development.

Vice Chancellor MTSOU Participated in an International Conference at Delhi University

Prof Masood Parveez, Vice Chancellor, MTSOU, Tripura was invited to participated in the first Meeting of the "International Consortium of Online, Open Learning Universities" and the International Conference on "Emerging Trends and Challenges in Open, Distance, Digital and Blended Learning", organised by the School of Open Learning, University of Delhi at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi from the 28th to 31st January, 2026.
