Governing Body of the University

As per Section 23 of the MTSOU Act, 2024 the following is the Governing Body of the University:

1. Chancellor - Ex-officio Chairperson - Sh. Hemant Goyal
2. Vice-Chancellor - Ex-officio Member - Prof. Masood Parveez
3. Five persons nominated by the Sponsoring Body, of whom two shall be eminent educationists
   • Dr. Nameesh Miglani - Member
   • Mr. Mukesh Goyal - Member
   • Mr. Sidharth Goyal - Member
   • Prof. Dinesh Sharma - Member
   • Prof. Madhulika Kaushik - Member
4. One expert in skill development, education, or other relevant areas from outside the University, nominated by the Chancellor
   1. Prof. KRS Sambhasiva Rao - Member
5. Two persons nominated by the State Government
   1. Nomination is awaited
6. Two representatives of industries, nominated by the Chancellor
   1. Mr. Pankaj Srivastava -- Member
   2. Mr. Vishal Goyal - Member
7. Registrar of the University - Permanent invitee to the Governing Body (without voting rights)
   1. Prof. Ghanshyam Singh - Registrar

Powers and Functions of the Governing Body

As the supreme authority of the University, the Governing Body shall exercise the following powers:

1. Provide general superintendence, direction, and control over the functioning of the University and exercise all powers conferred by the Act, Statutes, Ordinances, Regulations, or Rules.
2. Review decisions of other authorities of the University that may not conform to the Act, Statutes, Ordinances, Regulations, or Rules.
3. Approve the budget and annual report of the University.
4. Lay down the policies to be followed by the University.
5. Recommend to the Sponsoring Body the voluntary liquidation of the University if smooth functioning becomes impossible despite all efforts.
6. Exercise such other powers as may be prescribed.

This notification comes into force with immediate effect.
