It gives me immense pleasure to extend my heartfelt greetings to all learners, faculty, staff, and well-wishers of Mata Tripura Sundari Open University (MTSOU). The establishment of this University marks a historic step in widening the horizons of higher education in Tripura and beyond, by creating opportunities for those who aspire to learn but are constrained by distance, time, or circumstances.

Education is not merely the acquisition of knowledge—it is the foundation of empowerment, social transformation, and nation-building. Open and Distance Learning (ODL) has emerged as a powerful instrument in democratizing education, ensuring that no learner is left behind. MTSOU carries this noble responsibility of reaching the unreached and making quality education accessible, affordable, and inclusive.
